A Presidential Day, History Making and the National News!

Hey everyone!

Breaking news...literally! Today, the President of Guatemala's wife, the first lady of Guatemala, went out to personally greet and thank one of our teams that was serving in a communal soup kitchen. She arrived with her security agents, as well as with the Minister of Health and other high ranking government officials. Her greeting and talking with the mission trip leadership will be featured tonight on Guatemalan national television!!!!

If we get any more details, we will try and keep you all posted at home...we are thrilled to see the impact of these teams (which we have heard is the largest missions team to ever touch Guatemala) and how God has opened the door into the hearts of this nation's leadership. We pray for that they will come to know God in a very real way. Team 10 was the team that had this incredible experience, we will post pics when we have a chance. They said she was very kind to the team and one of the girls on the team walked up to her and asked if she could pray for the first lady and the nation of Guatemala. She agreed :)

AND TO DATE: 2406 SALVATIONS!!!!!!

  2. My daughter,Rebecca Robbins, from Texas, is on Team 10 and was sooooo excited about getting to meet the President's wife today and have prayer with her. I asked her if she was the girl that asked to have prayer with the first lady and she said no it was her friend Aubrey. Good job Aubrey!

My daughter was able to lead a man who has struggled with alchol for over 20 years to the Lord today. She always says her experience is "beyond amazing". Praise God for the work being done in Guatemala through all of these teenagers.

    Love you Becca,

  4. Praise Jesus for what He is doing and how He is using each and everyone of you in Guatemala! We are so proud of you all!

I have a question, though -- our daughter Danielle is on Team 4, but in this last photo with the mimes down on the floor, one of the girls looks sooooo much like our Danielle!!! Is this photo of Team 4 or Team 10? And, if it's of Team 10, is it possible that Danielle was helping out with Team 10 that day???!! It looks amazingly like her!

Keep doing what you are doing!! We are praying!!

    Blessings,

Dean and Beth Byler and family

  5. So I am just now getting the opportunity to read this blog. Very cool that this was being updated as well.

And our God is so amazing guys. He chose to bring the first lady to this soup kitchen where we were, and did some amazing things aside from bringing her there. What an honor it was for me to be used as God's tool to pray with the First Lady, and to be apart of this trip. I am so excited on the work He is doing in Guatemala, and Can't wait to see more next year!!!

    Mr. and Mrs. Byler,
That was a picture of our team 10, and it was just our team at the kitchen that day.
