Guatemala Day #5
Hey Family!
We serve an awesome God! Today was an incredible day of ministry! It's amazing to see what God will do with one obedient teenager, can you imagine 500? Tonight they had another incredible service where many of them were able to leave behind issues they'd been struggling with for a long time.
We know that the ministry will grow stronger every day as the students begin to lay their lives down more and more for Christ! Continue to pray for us!

Awesome! Can anybody post this drama from one of the teams on this blog or you tube?? I would love to see it. Thank you for serving and being obedient to His call! God bless.
ReplyDeleteWe are always thankful for any news about what's going on in Guatemala! Bless you on your journeys and experiences ~ it sounds like you are all having a Christ-filled time! To God be the Glory! Special shout out to Aaron in Team 5, we would love to hear from him, hint, hint!

How exciting, what a ministry this is, for the teens and the Guatemalean people.
ReplyDeleteHad a question, I'm wondering how to direct it.... is there going to be any kind of address to the students of how to carry this momentum back to their youth groups and personal lives upon return? Is there any reference we as parents have to learn from as to how to best support them in that upon their return...?
Just some of our thoughts as this is our first experience with this.... any reply can be sent to koukol_family@hotmail.com
Thank you so much for keeping us updated! I am so thrilled to hear any news we get!
God Bless,
Dominique Koukol
A BIG Hi to the Guatemal team. We at Grand Manan, New Brunswick, Canada say a big hi to all, especially Natania Hettrick and Emily Bass. We, on the Island, are involved with Harvest House ministry and preparing for our summer mission trip through Nova Scoia and New Brunswick. As we are preparing our skits we are thinking and praying for you guys. Gods Bless, we love you all!!

WOW...the prayers of many are being answered each day! Our God is amazing...He is proving Himself through your lives as you pour out. Truly Phil 2:5 (and beyond) is being fulfilled: "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus". We are praying that you all will be true servant-leaders!!!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are beautiful...tell Caris O. that we LOVE her!
Mom, Dad, Bro Caleb and your FANTASTIC prayer team!!!
The people of Guatemala have a beautiful spirit and find joy in even the worst of conditions and the most difficult labor. I know this first hand because my daughter is Guatemalan-born and joined our family at 8 months old.
ReplyDeleteThank you for providing TLC to the orphaned Guatemaltecos. One in every 100 children born in GC is placed for adoption due to poverty. I pray that soon the doors to the country will open again and international adoptions will be processed so as to find these children a family who will love them for a lifetime.
When you return please learn about Adopt-a-Village, Guatemala - http://adoptavillage.com/. This small grassroots organization serves the orphans and widows in the Highlands, provides school supplies and education. Sponsorship and penpal programs are available.
Blessings to you all and especially to Hailey Williamson - I know your father from high school - he was a good US Government study partner.
